When a lithium vehicle is traveling slow in the forward direction but fast in the reverse direction, Issue is typically caused by the CANBUS signal to the speed controller is missing. You can clarify this by checking the error codes of the speed controller. As shows in this forum. If error code 55 is present CANBUS signal is missing at controller which results in the vehicle operating in this way.
The best way to visually see the CANBUS operation is to access the lithium PCB assembly located at the front of the lithium batteries. Box is gray/white in color. It is mounted with two Phillips bolts. Remove them and box can lay on top of lithium cells. Use #3 Phillips screwdriver to open the box. In the box towards the rear, you will see two LED lights. They can be bent upwards to see the lights better. These lights should both be on. They should not be on solid but flashing rapidly making them look dim.
Note if you do not have this box your vehicle is older, and the box will be next to the parking brake handle and be blue in color.
Issues can be with the box itself. Or the CANBUS wire is shorted together somewhere in the system. Or one of the components on the CANBUS are bad. This could be the speed controller itself, dash display or battery charger.
